Chair Slipcovers
Chair
slipcovers are perfect for covering stained and torn fabric on your favorite
chair, or protecting a new piece of furniture from the accidental spills and
messes caused by children and pets. Slipcovers for chairs are made for several
chair types including recliners, dining room chairs, wingback chairs, oversized
chairs and folding chairs.
Recliners are really the most difficult to cover and consequently only have a
few options to choose from. Having any options at all is amazing to us and
a credit to the furniture and fabric industry for coming up with a product
we can use. Recliner covers are stretchy enough to handle the up and down motion
of the footrest and include a side handle opening. It's all one piece and easy
to put in place.
Wingback chairs are the next difficult to fit, but the manufacturers have
come up with several tailor made predone options that look like they were custom
sewn just for your chair. The memory stretch fabric fits perfectly with your
chair's shape and doesn't need much additional tucking as it’s designed to
stay in place even when sat in. The fiber content is mostly polyester with
about 6% spandex allowing for that stretch factor.
Dining room chair slipcovers are not only using in dining rooms but also
at weddings to cover ugly metal folding chairs and make the wedding reception
look elegant on a shoe string budget. Most of these covers are held in place
with ties in the back, which can be further decorated with fancy bows or flowers
to add that special touch. The fabric choices include patterns such as striped,
floral, denim and plain, among a multitude of others. Every color in the rainbow
is available.
Similar to the sofa slipcovers, there are also multi-piece separate seat
styles for chairs. These are most often used on the large overstuffed chairs
that can be difficult to fit.
Slipcovers for chairs are machine washable, spot cleanable, inexpensive
and easy to put on your furniture. We recommend cleaning at least once a month,
more often if they are used frequently as they can attract stains and spills.
